The Dickinson Law Review Online is currently CLOSED for submissions.

The Dickinson Law Review Online is the digital companion of the Dickinson Law Review’s print journal. Its purpose is to provide an online forum for legal discussions on a variety of topics from a variety of perspectives. The DLR Online publishes short, timely works of original scholarship that often respond to, or anticipate, new legal developments. Online pieces are continuously published throughout the year.

The DLR Online accepts the submission of timely blog posts, essays, and articles. If you are interested in publishing on the DLR Online, contact the Executive Editor for Digital Media and include either a full draft, abstract, or a description of your potential piece and a resume or CV or use our submission form.

All submissions should abide by the following submission guidelines:

Articles & Essays

  1. Preference will be given to current pieces ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 words;
  2. Documents should be in Microsoft Word format;
  3. Submissions should be double-spaced;
  4. Articles should include an abstract;
  5. All citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st edition); and
  6. All submissions should contain the author’s CV as well as the author’s ORCID iD number, if applicable.

Blog Posts

  1. Preference will be given to current pieces ranging from 750 and 2,000 words;
  2. Documents should be in Microsoft Word format;
  3. Submissions should be double-spaced;
  4. Citations should use in-text hyperlinks rather than footnotes or endnotes; and
  5. Submissions should contain the author’s CV as well as the author’s ORCID iD number, if applicable.

*Please note that the DLR Online does not accept submissions from current law students outside of the Penn State Dickinson Law community, nor does the DLR Online accept unsolicited submissions from current Penn State Dickinson Law students.

Withdrawing a Submission

If you decide to withdraw a submission, please send an email to DickinsonLRev@psu.edu.
